AlpTransit is a historical work, grandiose in both technical and engineering terms, and it represented an epoch-making change for transport, where the whole of Europe was talking about.
For the Gallery's Inauguration celebrations in June 2016, the 'Piazza Ticino' was created, a cross-shaped pavilion divided into four sectors, each with a local theme (food and wine, mobility, handicrafts and tourism) and an outdoor area. The festivities were accompanied by a series of events and cultural initiatives, all to let spectators experience the magic of this moment.
